CustomScoop Fulfills iPhone wish
CONCORD, NH - July 18, 2007 - CustomScoop, a leader in customizable media monitoring and analysis services, will be sponsoring an episode of Across the Sound, a leading marketing podcast of the author of "Life after the 30-second spot" and President & Chief Interruptor of crayon, Joseph Jaffe.
Jaffe initiated the exchange by putting a twist on the traditional request for sponsorship during one of his recent podcasts. While lamenting the age of his current BlackBerry (one of the oldest in the world, he said), Jaffe described the iPhone as "really beautiful," and opened up the following challenge: he'd exchange sponsorship of one episode of Across the Sound for the price of an iPhone. CustomScoop CEO Chip Griffin heard the request and quickly responded to Jaffe's unusual idea.
"It's an innovative way to look at sponsorship, and I like to respond to creative thinking," said Griffin. Within hours of mentioning this idea, Jaffe had two offers to take him up on his suggestion.
"If Chip hadn't been plugged into the conversation, he wouldn't have responded as quickly as he did," added Jaffe. "I look forward to Chip coming on the show he'll be sponsoring as my co-host."
Next up for Jaffe? A MacBook Pro or a Vaio in exchange for a month's sponsorship!
