In 2000, Chip Griffin co-founded CustomScoop to provide timely, accurate news clips for clients. As a public affairs consultant, he used traditional paper clipping services but found them to be slow and costly. Today, CustomScoop provides a full suite of news and social media monitoring services that enable organizations to develop critical intelligence and improve their outreach efforts. Chip has founded or co-founded more than half a dozen companies at the intersection of technology and communications. After starting his career on Capitol Hill, he worked for a think tank and was named CEO of a political information and advocacy website. He later served as Chief Digital Officer for one of the largest independent public relations firms in the United States. A graduate of American University, he sits on the board of the AU Alumni Association and chairs the AU School of Public Affairs Advisory Council. He lives with his wife and two sons in New Hampshire.
