Blog,Company News,Product News No Comments

The team at CustomScoop has been hard at work during the past few months, and we’re thrilled to announce some exciting changes to the CustomScoop product line. The first thing users will notice is our new user interface. From a collapsible left side bar, which makes your results easier to see and review, to new page headers and new help files, our look is fresh, clean, and easier to navigate. But looks aren’t everything, now are they? So we have also improved core features of the system.

CustomScoop's New & Improved Analytic Charts

Blog,Company News,Product Features,Product News No Comments

As the leaves continue to dazzle us here in New England with their vibrant colors, our Dev Team has added some great new enhancements to our Analytic Charts within our ClipIQ Media Monitoring solution for you to dazzle your customers with brilliant charts & graphs.

Within ClipIQ, we have an Advanced Analytics Wizard that allows our Customers to create their own analytical charts to be used for media measurement, competitive analysis, key performance indicators, etc.  It is a great way to have a visual representation of the data in their account and create stunning graphs for their reports.  Our Customers have always loved this feature of our product, and based on their feedback, we’ve made it even better!

Some of the features we’ve added include a more user friendly interface, depth control for 3D charts, the ability to add Custom Titles, control over Tick Mark Intervals, creation of Custom Chart Sizes and the ability to Reorder Criteria.  As a bonus, we also added the ability to create Area Charts.  We just rolled out the feature this week and so far, the overall Customer response has been fantastic!

But don’t take our word for it, try it out for yourself.  We offer a no obligation 14 day free trial of our ClipIQ Media Monitoring solution.  Simply click here and try it out for yourself.

Go Beyond Positive, Negative & Neutral

One of my favorite unsung features in our Media Monitoring product ClipIQ is our Ratings Manager.  We built the Ratings Managers from the feedback we received from our customers who wanted a more flexible solution when they were rating their clips.  Instead of the basic, “Positive, Negative & Neutral”, they wanted something more flexible and more powerful.  For the basic needs of some customers, the default of “Positive, Negative & Neutral” is enough.  But, for those power users who want to customize not only the Rating Name, but also the color, well, the Rating Manager is the tool for you!

Our Ratings Manager allows for complete customization of name and color.  You can pick your color off a color palette, or for the true techies, you can even enter the “Hex” color code of the color you want.  Very cool stuff!

And, as you would expect, the color choices you made in your Ratings Manager flow through to the Analytical Charts you create:

Focus on the “Custom” in CustomScoop

Blog,Product News No Comments

Over the years people have made some jokes about our name and how they expected us to be selling Ice Cream instead of cutting edge media monitoring service and analysis.  It especially happens when we buy some logo merchandise with our name on it.

Well this year it made me think more about the history of the name and how appropriate it really is, specifically given our increased customization options within our ClipIQ product line.  Let’s face it, the Scoop part comes from getting a "Scoop" on the news.  The Custom part comes from every customer having their own unique needs and the importance for them to get a "Custom" solution.

For instance, we have always allowed our Customers to download their clips to a spreadsheet.  However, they had to download all the fields into the spreadsheet and then they could delete out the columns they didn’t need.  After a few customers asked if we could let them choose which fields to download, our Development Team went to work and our Customers can now choose one field or all the fields to download.  They now can create their own "Custom" spreadsheet.

We also listened to our Customers when they asked if they can customize the email that they send out through our service to include their logo.  We thought it was a great idea and we implemented it right away.  Our team even took it a step further and created the ability for our Customers to use their own HTML template if they want to.  That’s right, they can have a "Custom" email template to use to send out their clips.

In today’s world where companies are making up names that has absolutely nothing to do with what they do, I’m actually pretty darn proud of the CustomScoop name and would like to take the interpretation a little farther.  The "Custom" is also short for the Customer, for our company really does revolve around the Customer.  We listen to our Customers and develop features for them based on their requests, not just create technology for technology’s sake.  We will always focus on the "Custom" in CustomScoop.

Tags are “Awesome”!

Blog,Product News No Comments

It was a long, snowy winter here in New Hampshire, which means our Developers were basically snowbound and were able to create some great new enhancements to our ClipIQ product.  One of my favorite new features is the ability to "Tag" a clip.  By adding a Tag or Tags to the news and blog clips that our system aggregates, customers have a simple, yet powerful way to work with thier clips.

Some of our clients are using it as a rating system.  They are tagging clips as Positive, Slightly Positive, Neutral, Slightly Negative and Negative.  They can then easily retrieve their clips and generate reports off the Tagged clips.  Other clients are using it as a simple way to group similar clips by product or company, or by competition or partner. As with most successful features in a product, the customers are finding new and different ways to use the feature every day.

The exciting thing for our Development team is to see that the users are really using their features, which means their hard work has paid off and is appreciated.  In fact, you could see them beaming with excitement when one of our customers was quoted as saying, "That’s Awesome" after using the Tags.

You know, I might be biased, but I agree with them.  Tags are pretty awesome!

ClipIQ 5.0 – New Features for All!

Product News No Comments

I am very excited to tell you that we’ve launched a new version of our online news clipping service. As we expand our product line, we felt it best to give our clipping service its own name. And since we think it makes clip search and analysis smarter, we’re calling it ClipIQ.

But it’s not just a name. The product not only looks better – with a totally redesigned user interface – it provides new functionality for every customer. Users now have access to enhanced clip sorting to make finding clips easier, additional reporting options for more media measurement options, and a customizable design to continue with our promise to deliver a truly custom solution for every client.

This new version also allows us to offer our media database – Media Bullseye – to all ClipIQ customers. This expansive database of media contact information would appear as another tab within the client’s account.

If you’ve tried our product in the past, I encourage you to test drive it again. I think you’ll enjoy the intuitive interface and additional functionality.
