A Chilly Day in Boston

Events No Comments

On Friday, January 26th we attended a PRSA Boston event titled, “Tools of the Trade.” The purpose of the event was to introduce local public relations professionals to some of the products available to them.

We decided to exhibit at the event in an effort to be more active in our local PR community. The Boston chapter of PRSA was very open to having us participate in new and exciting ways in their organization, so look for CustomScoop at more upcoming chapter events.

Registration was estimated at roughly 100+ people, but I’m not sure if we saw that many cycle through the room at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel. The most likely culprit was the weather with the high for the day barely breaking into the double-digits – many visitors told us it was difficult to find a cab.

Overall, we felt it was worthwhile to attend. I always appreciate the opportunity to meet and speak with the people who currently use or could potentially use our product and hear their pain points and goals.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth!

ClipIQ 5.0 – New Features for All!

Product News No Comments

I am very excited to tell you that we’ve launched a new version of our online news clipping service. As we expand our product line, we felt it best to give our clipping service its own name. And since we think it makes clip search and analysis smarter, we’re calling it ClipIQ.

But it’s not just a name. The product not only looks better – with a totally redesigned user interface – it provides new functionality for every customer. Users now have access to enhanced clip sorting to make finding clips easier, additional reporting options for more media measurement options, and a customizable design to continue with our promise to deliver a truly custom solution for every client.

This new version also allows us to offer our media database – Media Bullseye – to all ClipIQ customers. This expansive database of media contact information would appear as another tab within the client’s account.

If you’ve tried our product in the past, I encourage you to test drive it again. I think you’ll enjoy the intuitive interface and additional functionality.

PR Agency Veteran Joins CustomScoop as VP

Company News No Comments

I am pleased to announce that we’ve added a VP of Products & Services.  Jen White, a PR agency veteran who worked for Fleishman-Hillard in St. Louis and has a wide range of PR and public affairs experience, recently joined our team here in Concord, NH.  She’s going to be heading up our product development and professional services groups.

Jen will provide great leadership for us internally, but will also play a key role in delivering customers the products and services they need to be more effective and efficient.  It’s great to have her on board.  These are busy times at CustomScoop and we’ll have more announcements about enhancements to our products and team in the coming weeks.

PRSA Boston Event

CustomScoop will be exhibiting at the PRSA Boston event, “Tools of the Trade” Products & Services Showcase. The show is set to take place on January 26th, 2007 at Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel and is intended to give local public relations professionals a chance to meet vendors face-to-face, learning about their products and participating in demonstrations.

CustomScoop is attending in an effort to become more involved in our public relations community, and we feel one of the best ways to do that is through our local PRSA chapters. If you live in the Boston area, the cost to attend is very reasonable ($10 for members, $20 for non-members), and it’s a great way to learn about products you may never have thought of putting to use.

The Latest from PR Blogs

PR Industry News No Comments

CustomScoop recently launched an effort to provide a daily update of the latest posts from PR bloggers.  Our editors pick a few key posts each day to highlight that give a good flavor of the conversations taking place, as well as links to posts that have innovative or provocative thinking.

The service is called PR Blog Jots and is available free in blog or email format.  Just visit http://www.prblogjots.com to check it out and learn more.

I personally find this to be of great value because it allows me to spend a few minutes each morning checking out industry discussions that I might have otherwise missed.  I encourage you to try it out for yourself.
